About activities of Veolia Transport Ltd.
In the scope of its development policy in Central and South-East Europe, Veolia Transport (former Connex) opened an office in Budapest in 2003.
The Veolia Transport Hungary Ltd. took an important part in the development in the region of Central and South-East Europe. Thanks to these developments, the company Veolia Transport Central Europe is now present in Switzerland, Croatia and Serbia, and, simultaneously with some huge developments in Germany, reinforced his position on the Slovenian, the Czech and the Polish market.
The Veolia Transport Hungary’s basic mission is to establish the Veolia Transport Company in Hungary, as a function of short and medium term political changes having an effect on transportation, in all three fields of activity of Veolia Transport, namely city, regional and railroad transportation.
The company is deeply interested in the Volan companies’ future and it’s anxious to an eventual partnership with MAV, on the base of his experiences gained on the Germany’s opened regional railway market, concerning the suburban and regional railway line’s operation.
