A Different View on Travelling

Transport is one of the fundamental elements of any environmental policy. To deal with problems such as noise, traffic congestion and pollution, Veolia Transport is, together with local authorities, modernising fleets and using vehicles that are cleaner and quieter. In addition to this, Veolia Transport is helping to develop cleaner vehicles and fuels. Per rider, a bus today pollutes only one-fifth to one-tenth as much as a car.

The company is also focused on improving transport flow by developing passenger information aid systems, which facilitate inter-modal transfers, offering an attractive alternative to the use of passenger cars. Travelling by public transportation instead of taking the car will in the long run contribute to the decrease of respiratory problems in urban areas and the downturn of air pollution levels.

When Veolia Transport experiences traffic problems such as delays, the company policy is to focus on solving the immediate problems that face travellers. After this, the company will take action to solve the technical problems causing the disruption for the travellers. In other words, in wanting to create a better environment, Veolia Transport is a company that puts passenger needs first in all situations.
